Good morning, animal fam. We often describe doggos as "happy-go-lucky" animals that are just excited to be a part of whatever you're doing. And for the most part, that's true. But dogs do have their own thoughts and feelings, even if a lot of them are just about being next to you. However, when your dog is a rescue and comes from a terrible situation, its brain is a bit more complicated than that of a golden retriever with one (pawdorable) brain cell that either needs food, cuddles, or a nap.

We have a rescue dog who has something called "deprivation syndrome", which basically means she lacked stimulation and love during her critical development period. She's a special dog who has difficulty trusting her surroundings, but she has a really big heart. All of this is to say that each dog has their own unique needs and requirements, so when the pawrent in this post saved their dog from a hoarding situation and they wouldn't stop crying, they also had to dive deep into their doggo's psychology to figure out why.     Ktycan OP 22h ago • It was a hoarding case where many of the dogs went to different fosters. There's an online group where fosters for this rescue can talk to each other and my friend and the other foster figured it out. The sister's foster has decided to adopt both of them

  • Yes! We love a happy ending. Sure, we know you might not imagined adopting two dogs at the same time, but what can you do? They're all going to live happily ever after now, and that's something you can't put a price on.

  • Our doggo was found alone as a puppy, but we're sure she had some brothers or sisters around that didn't get picked up. We think about that every time we see a doggo on the street that looks like her. Could they be long-lost siblings?
